NOVELTY INKWELL DESIGNED AS A WW1 GERMAN PICKELHAUBE HELMET.

A most unusual inkwell which is designed as a WW1 German officers pickelhaube helmet. Metal skull complete with chin chain, guard regiment badge and ball top for artillery troops. Lifting the helmet top which is on a hinge reveals the inkwell.

BRITISH ART AND CRAFTS TRAY OR WALL PLAQUE.

This superb hand made copper tray is probably by the Cornish Newlyn arts and crafts school but it is not maker marked, the original art school was in operation from 1890 until about 1920. The tray depicts a large galleon in full sail on the ocean, on a hand hammered background. Superb quality and very impressive.

DOULTON NELSON COMMEMORATIVE JUG.

A very nice cream jug produced in blue, green and brown glaze. The Jug commemorates the 100 year anniversary in 1905 of the heroic death of Lord Admiral Nelson on his flag ship the Victory during the battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Doulton factory mark to the base. Mint condition.

This bottle opener would have been originally attached to a shop counter or bar allowing the counter staff to easily open the codd bottle. Pushing the bottle lip / marble against the wooden plunger would then have released the marble from the lip to the bottle chamber.

VICTORIAN SILVER CASTLE TOP VINAIGRETTE OF ABBOTSFORD HOUSE.

A fine example with a decorative border to lid and with highly detailed design of Abbotsford house, the base is engrave with a floral pattern. The interior features ornate gilt fretwork hinged lid and with silver marks for Gervise Wheeler Birmingham 1839.

SILVER DESK CALENDAR WITH CLOCK.

A most unusual cylinder desk calendar with attractive factory engraving sitting on a silver plinth and mounted to the calendar is a silver mounted clock on a hinge so it can be adjusted. Silver marks for London 1922 and with makers initials SPO. The calendar was designed by ORA of Oxford and Cambridge and with patents for the unique design in the USA and Germany. A most unusual and attractive desk calendar.
