CASED ENGLISH TEA SET PRESENTED TO A NAVAL OFFICER.

This very interesting silver tea set comprises, tea pot, sugar bowl and cream jug and all contained in its original black leatherette case, the interior is fitted for the items. Silver marks for Birmingham 1906 and with makers initials M & C. The front of the tea pot has a six line presentation inscription to Naval Lieutenant N.V.Rashleigh as a gift on his wedding day in 1945 from his fellow officers. The reverse side is engraved with the naval anchor and kings crown for George the 6th. Complete with some research on this officer. Near mint condition.

A superb and Highley detailed model of a British Lee Metford riffle with bayonet, the bowl of the spoon is engraved, SOUVENIR OF THE ANGLO BOAR WAR 1999-1900. The reverse side has a registration number and a full set of English hallmarks for, London 1899 and makers mark for Saunders and Shepard. Superb detail. Size 5 inches long. Mint condition

SILVER EDWARDIAN MODEL OF THE NESTOR CUP.

A superb silver cup designed as a model of the ancient Nestor cup which was discovered in a grave at Mycenae near Athens in Greece in 1876. The cup stands at 14cm in height. The decorative handles are decorated with two birds. Silver hallmarks for Chester 1906 and with makers initials GN & RH for George Nathan & Ridley Hayes. Fine condition.

The jugs are produced in a blue and brown glaze and they depict the Allied leaders, Fieldmarshall Haig, Admiral Beatty, General Fosch and President Wilson.
