Superb silver hallmarked miniature that is designed as a stick stand to hold pens and to act as a pen nib wipe. The Interior still retains the original pen brush wipe. Silver hallmarks for London 1903, the makers mark was very lightly stamped so it is now almost worn away. This item would look superb displayed with a collection of inkwells. Height 3 inches or 8cm. Large tortoiseshell lid decorated with silver inlay in a classical design. Opening the lid on a spring catch displays all original fittings, the base of the box is inset with white velvet with a gold silk lining. Silver marks for London 1912 and with makers mark WO.
