A superb and finely detailed silver novelty inkwell modeled as a miniature coal box standing on four small silver feet. When the top handle of the box is lifted it reveals a glass ink well, the lower compartment can also be opened and this reveals a small compartment possibly for the storage of spare pen nibs. The coal box has English silver hall marks for Birmingham 1901 and makers initial TW. [Condition: Exc++]
