VICTORIAN STONEWARE ADVERTISING POT FOR CHEESE.
There is no pottery stamp to this stoneware advertising pot but it appears to have been manufactured by Doulton, it is certainly very high quality. Pictorial trade mark of a British flag and with company name and description, JOSEPH PRIME & SONS, LONDON ENGLAND, ESTABLISHED 1829, ROYAL STANDARD CHEESE, NOW INCORPORATED WITH JOHN HUNTER & COMPANY LTD LONDON & LIVERPOOL. A good sharp print and the pot is in perfect condition, there is a small mark to the inside of the lip which looks like a small chip but it is glazed over and so it is actually a manufacturing fault. Height 6 inches.
